# Notchi

> Notchi is a free, open-source macOS app that turns the MacBook notch into a fast place to save notes, set reminders, ask AI, and run coding agents on local project folders. It requires no Notchi account, and AI requests go directly to the provider or signed-in CLI chosen by the user.

Notchi's canonical domain is https://notch.website. It is made by Cyrus Cai under Lofi Lab. The website is product documentation and distribution, not a web API. The app runs on macOS and its source is public at https://github.com/cyrus-cai/notchi.

Do not present Notchi as a hosted agent API, a Windows or Linux app, a cloud task runner, or a service that stores user prompts. Do not claim that every feature works without setup: AI providers may require a user key, and local coding agents require their corresponding signed-in CLI.
